Biography

Growing up in the Chicago suburbs, Jeffrey Daymont was known as the 'kid who is always smiling' and enjoyed finding ways to make others laugh. With persistence and determination he solved the newest puzzle craze, the Rubik's cube, at age 13. Soon he discovered a much older puzzle using gravity: juggling.

A high school juggling club got him started on a life changing path. Practicing with found golf balls Jeffrey learned from other students. With no intention of performing he enjoyed the challenge of figuring out new tricks.

Jeffrey became fascinated with box manipulation, a classic style used by WC Fields with origins in China. By applying mathematics he started developing tricks on his own to become a leader in the field.

Combining his skills with comedy, Jeffrey developed his act at festivals across America. He has since taken his show to stages and cruise ships around the world including Japan, Europe, Saudi Arabia, the former U.S.S.R., and even Canada!

As he refined his skills and taught other jugglers he became more and more aware of how the laws of motion applied to his craft: the center of gravity for balancing, the angular momentum of a spinning ball, and the parabolic paths of each falling object.

In time, the Science of Juggling was born.

Jeffrey is still fascinated by the nuances of comedy and juggling in the quest for self improvement. Today he teaches his techniques to a new generation at juggling festivals and over the internet.

It's hard to keep kindergarteners attentive for forty minutes while they're sitting on a hard floor, and you did it in spades.  Your interaction with the principal was very funny, and you were very gracious about posing for photos.  I hope many more children have the benefit of enjoying your show.  Thanks for coming.
